Taste of Hong Kong announces its lineup for 2018

Hong Kong has no shortage of gourmet markets, art fairs and music concerts, but for those who are always thinking about their next meal, you’ll want to mark your calendars now for the city’s biggest food festival, Taste of Hong Kong, set to return for its third edition from 22–25 March, 2018 at Central Harbourfront. The foodie extravaganza brings together some of Hong Kong’s greatest restaurants, chefs and gourmands for four days of unlimited feasting, gourmet workshops, markets, pop-up bars and panels. If you want to get your early bird tickets secured, you can purchase them here, starting today.

For 2018, Taste of Hong Kong welcomes a total of 20 restaurants to offer their signature creations, including Bo Innovation, Caprice, Little Bao, Pici, Chachawan, and One Harbour Road, as well as newcomers BlackSalt, Forbidden Duck, Frantzen’s Kitchen, Haku, Happy Paradise and New Punjab Club. For sweet lovers, Taste also introduces a dessert-only menu for the first time, prepared by the talented chef Vicky Lau of Poem Patisserie. Also back by popular demand are Okra, Duddell’s and Zuma, three restaurants that are guaranteed to draw queues from day one.

The participating restaurants will present a total of more than 60 dishes to tempt foodies — four from each restaurant, including one exclusive dish created just for the event. In the meantime, festival-goers can fill up the day with a combination of wine workshops, cooking demos, live music from the main sound stage, and shopping around the Gourmet Market, which will feature products from 50 of the city’s boutique food and beverage vendors.

Early bird tickets are now on sale through 31 January, priced at HK$75 for Standard Chartered cardholders and HK$98 for regular entry (prices adjust to HK$96 and HK$120, respectively, after 31 January). This year, the festival is also introducing a lower VIP entry package: the Tasteful Menu Package, which includes two signature dishes and a drink, priced at HK$278 before 31 January. Meanwhile, the first 50 VIP Ticket holders and the first 100 Tasteful Menu Package holders will receive a complimentary glass of Champagne — so make sure you get your bookings in fast and stay tuned for more details on the event.
