A stylish marriage of Italian knowhow and Parisian chic.
Celebrating the sunny spirit and art de vivre of the two houses, Parisian couture house Dior and Italian scooter brand Vespa — both founded in 1946 — have recently joined forces to present us with a limited-edition scooter, accompanied by a line of matching accessories that will allow you to zoom around town in style.
Dubbed the Vespa 946 Christian Dior, this stylish luxury scooter is based off of the iconic Vespa 946, a model that is celebrated for its elegant, streamlined curves and technological innovation since its Milan debut in 2012.
Though now beautifully adorned with the emblematic Dior Oblique motif — a design created by Marc Lohan in 1967, revisited by current Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri — the scooter remains to be 100 percent made in Italy, with every process adhering to the exact standards, commitment and precision of a couture atelier.
But that’s not all: Dior has also created a full range of accessories, complete with a helmet and a top case designed to be attached to the luggage rack. Naturally.
While we can’t wait to get the chance to hop onto one of these stylish motors (and get our hands on the accompanying accessories), Dior and Vespa fans will unfortunately have to wait.
Set to officially launch in Spring 2021, the Vespa 946 Christian Dior will initially arrive at select Dior boutiques, before being available at select Piaggio group Motoplex stores worldwide. The accessories, meanwhile, will be exclusively sold from Dior stores.
