American automotive and energy company Tesla announced the launch of its biggest Supercharger station in Asia Pacific, coinciding with the delivery of its first Model 3 vehicles in Hong Kong this week.
With its mission to ‘accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy’, Tesla’s newest Model 3 is a welcome addition to the company’s offerings. After the first public preview in February, the brand’s first mass market and most affordable electric vehicle has just landed in Hong Kong, and is now available for public test drives. The Model 3 is a high-efficiency, cutting-edge car with an acceleration of zero to 100km per hour in 3.4 seconds, and a distance of 530km for every full charge.
To help maximise convenience for owners, Tesla has launched its largest Supercharger Station in the Asia Pacific region (including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), right in the parking lot of the Hyatt Regency, Sha Tin. There are currently 24 Supercharger Stations, with 130 Superchargers and over 500 Wall Connector Chargers in Hong Kong, and the innovative motoring company has plans to add more to our city in the near future.
For now, prospective Tesla owners can schedule a Model 3 test-drive here.
