Sporting her signature blonde high ponytail, fitfluencer Utah Lee’s energy shines as much when she attends a brand event as when she hits the gym. It also makes her easy to spot in the midst of a crowd. Lee is Hong Kong’s first Nike master trainer, and for more than a decade she has been keenly spreading the simple message: ‘Training is fun and rewarding — and everyone can make time to train’. She lives and breathes her title — she apparently even wore Nike Shox to her wedding.

Lee’s strong and toned physique belies her age, and the fact that she is a mother of two (as well as a ‘momager’ of several adopted pups!). Her first foray into fitness started when she became a dance choreographer and took on personal training in her own time. Soon, she melded her two worlds and began to teach a variety of dance-like fitness programmes, including Zumba and kickboxing. Teaching group and personal classes every week, she’s also a certified trainer for Les Mills methodology, as well as Kardio Kombat, matwork Pilates, NASM personal training and AASFP aerobics. At a recent launch party for the new Red Bull Lemon-Lime in Tai Kwun, Lee also led a surprise flash mob dance with the guests of the party.

27 Questions: Utah Lee

A wearer of multiple hats, Lee originally started off her career in fashion design. She opened her own firm House of Style HK in 2010, where she designs jewellery, kid’s clothing, accessories and furniture as well as offers styling services. She’s also previously collaborated with Popstar cosmetics and Nike Women to create exclusive lipstick shades named ‘Girlboss’ and ‘Utah.’

As for her personality beyond the studio, we recently sat down with Lee to learn more about a few of her peeves, quirks, her favourite things — and her enviable shoe collection.
