Inside the custom Star Ferry conversion that’s now available for HK$21 million

Boasting over 6,000 square feet of living space, Dot,  formerly known as Golden Star, is now available to purchase for HK$21 million.

Hailed one of the most intriguing yacht conversions in Asia by Asia Pacific Boating, the New York industrial loft-inspired houseboat possess over 6,000 square feet of living space and 4,000 square feet of space for storage and utilities.

With Dot’s conversion taking over 18 months to complete, the detail is impeccable. As reported by Asia Pacific Boating, the owner worked closely with a house interior designer in France, opting for large spacious rooms with floor to ceiling windows. The boat also boats a mezzanine level above half of the salon, offering sweeping and undisputed views of Tai Tam bay, where the vessel is currently moored.

Designed to be entirely self contained, Dot has a whopping 57,000-litre water storage capacity, its own water collection system, and is able to use its own water filter system to convert and filter seawater. The houseboat is home to four spacious bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, office and even a dedicated cinema room. A large sitting and dining room complete the living space, and its al-fresco dining and sunbathing area are perfect for balmy summer days.

What do you reckon? Fancy a life at sea?
