There’s no doubt that Hong Kong is one very stylish city — on any given day, just look out on the street and you’ll find more dapper gentlemen and perfectly put-together fashionistas than you can count. To honour the Hongkongers who dress to the nines for the many social functions that fill our diaries every month, we select the most stylish ladies and gents in town for our best dressed list.
The second half of July has, unfortunately, seen a renewed surge of Coronavirus infections unfolding in Hong Kong. With social distancing quickly resuming top priority for everyone, many of our most frequent style stars have been keeping it low-profile. Regardless, we’ve taken the time to track down some of them in order to provide some much-needed inspiration — whether you’re working from home or masked up for your daily errands.
Scroll down to find out who made the cut this July.
Fabulous summertime weather drew many to the beach at the beginning of the month prior to a new round of lockdowns. We love that Cecilia keeps things effortlessly cool by opting for one-piece swimwear (which she casually covers up with loose-fitted jeans) before finishing off with statement accessories, like a well-placed Chanel belt, for added personality.
Speaking Chanel belts, Elva has styled hers rather differently. Instead of going for the classic wrap around the waist, she tied hers around her head and neck for unexpected results. On top of this she’s added an LBD with flared hem and exaggerated shoulders; before topping off with bag and shoes (also from Chanel) to complete this sophisticated look.

Like many fashion lovers across the globe, Utah is fed up with waiting around for reasons to dress up amid CoViD-19. Getting in on the hashtag trend of #AllDressedUpAndNowhereToGo, she’s posted an Instagram photo of her decked out in green-coloured one-shoulder gown with gleaming gold sandals — pretending to clean the house for a dose of humour.
Newly returned to Hong Kong following an unexpectedly long stay in the US, Kim was captured dressed in a beige-coloured total look from Christopher Esber’s Resort 2020 collection, paired with sandals for a safari-inspired look.
Another one to opt for if you’re big on ‘adventurer style’ is Bowie Cheung — pictured above in a wrap dress printed with a map design. She’s also taken it up a notch by wearing a safari-inspired hat, along with a leather utility belt (by Fendi) — all accessories that are obvious nod to adventure-ready kit.
