The Fall/Winter 2017 collection marks the second round for Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent, through which he continued to strive on putting his stamp on YSL by bringing the golden years of the ’80s to the 21st century. From leather to lace and to metallics, down to big sleeves, patent boots and oversized ruffles, the latest collection offers creations that deliver dark romanticism at its best. However, while we absolutely adore the party-ready dresses, a great outfit simply can’t be completed without the perfect bag to match, and we are happy to see that for Fall 2017, Vaccarello has introduced a number of exciting updates to Saint Laurent’s classic bag collections, too. Scroll down as we introduce you these 5 new bag offerings for the new season, all of which are perfect for your next night-out.

Though construction’s not due to complete til next year, Anthony Vaccaerllo is already marking the significance of the house’s future Parisian headquarter at 37 Rue de Bellechasse with a bag dedicated to the address. The Bellechasse bag, which features a new squared recognizable hardware closure engraved with Saint Laurent’s signature, forms a new non-logo bag line and is available in three colours and two versions — with top handle (HK$14,500) or without (HK$13,500). Both versions also come with a removable leather shoulder strap that can be adjusted to compliment any outfit.
First launched in Spring/Summer 2017, the Tuxedo Box bag has been given a colourful boost this season, featuring two new patchwork versions (HK$29,500) crafted from multi-textual leather and snakeskin panther. These bags can be worn across the body, but also as an evening clutch by hiding the metal chain entirely within the box.
As the mini backpack trend is in full rage, Saint Laurent has decided to launch a smaller version of the LouLou Backpack (HK$13,500) for Fall 2017. Characterized by its signature Y Matelassé stitching, the new bag is made from vintage black patent leather for an ’80s party vibe, and features a flap front over adjustable flat leather straps, and finishes off with a metal interlocking YSL signature.
