The new capsule collection comes with everything from sneakers to apparel, and even a limited-edition skateboard.
With most of the world still on lockdown, vibrant colours and prints that brighten up both your outfit and your mood are just the thing for a perfect comeback this summer. Kenzo and Vans are taking the lead by launching a colourful capsule collection filled with energy and lots of florals.
The creative partnership marks a first for Kenzo under the helm of new creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista. The designer gave two of Vans’ iconic sneaker styles (the Sk8-Hi high sneakers and Old-Skool lows) a makeover, along with various ready-to-wear pieces and accessories in vibrant floral prints inspired by the brand’s archival pieces.
The entire collection features 46 ready-to-wear pieces for both men and women, with jersey items such as bob hats, baseball caps, backpacks and bags made using 100 percent organic cotton. On top of fashion pieces, the brands are also launching a Kenzo skateboard, made in collaboration with The Skateroom. Only a limited quantity of 150 have been made, and proceeds from sales will be used to provide support for a charity skate project that helps empower at-risk Jamaican youths.
