A deck of tarot, cut and spread. Pick a card. Pick another.

Christian Dior was a superstitious man; in fact, he was known to be a regular patron of clairvoyants, especially before every runway presentation. Maria Grazia Chiuri’s homage to this facet of Monsieur Dior’s mysticism is well-demonstrated. After all, who can forget that patchworked Tarot coat from the Dior Haute Couture show for Autumn/Winter 2017-2018? Those tulle gowns — sunbursting with intricate tarot-inspired beading — that floated down the runway as ethereal epilogues to Chiuri’s debut show?

Tarot cards return as a key inspiration for the Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 21 show, live at 9:30pm (Hong Kong time), 25 January. Be the first to see the future, livestreamed right here on Lifestyle Asia HK.
