At the height of menswear, creative director Kim Jones leads the French luxury brand to a brighter future with every season, each time creating another storytelling collection that leaves us wanting more.
For Fall 2016, Jones found his inspiration in Paris, leaving his childhood memories behind with last season’s collection. The brand is bringing back a blast from the past, one we’ve been longing to see in every man’s wardrobe.
The monogram has been reinvented with a dark twist, focusing on grey and black tones. The Monogram Eclipse collection is centred around the Malle Courrier, taken directly from the Vuitton archives. With travel at its heart, the collection has revived the monogram — the brand’s most recognisable design — in a sleek and stylish way.
The fresh take on the icon will become part of the permanent leather goods collection, and it comes in a variety of styles such as duffel bags and wallets. The collection will also include an array of footwear with noteworthy combat boots and sleek sneakers. Each item has been handcrafted, with extra attention paid to details as well as the quality of leather. For coming season, we can’t think of better edgier accessories worth investing in.
