It’s that time again, the first Thursday of the month. Like clockwork, incoming: a new exclusive drop from the Prada Timecapsule series.
Flip on alarms and set phone notifications to ‘Always’. At 3pm CET (10pm in Hong Kong) on 4 March, Prada will be releasing its third Timecapsule drop of its knitwear series; #15 in the whole instalment since its beginning in December 2019.
Here’s a first-look: The March exclusive is yet another retro-inspired staple knit, this time, a versatile pullover. Ribbed collars and cuffs lend a vintage silhouette, as do the two heritage prints pulled from Prada’s archive — a navy Hawaiian-esque intarsia and yellow colour-blocked stripes of differing weights for the contrast of original graphic and modern motif. It’s simple. It’s a statement. It’s unisex too! At the front, the signature frontal Prada logo is refreshed in a rectangular cobalt blue band and block-lettered script. Flip over for the iconic triangle marked with the drop date (03-21) upon the back collar.
As usual, this piece is extra exclusive — only 50 pieces are made and available online for 24 hours only. It’s up for grabs for HK$12,600 if speedy wifi permits, otherwise we’re sure it’ll be popping up on luxury consignment sites very soon after too.
The March 2021 Prada Timecaspule drop (HK$12,600) can be purchased online at prada.com exclusively. More information on Prada Timecaspule can be found here.
