Gucci will debut its latest Fall/Winter 2020 collection in Milan today.
After stops in New York and London, fashion week in Milan kicks off today, with Gucci scheduled as the first heritage house to present its Fall/Winter 2020 collection. To offer us a little glimpse of what the collection will be about, the brand has uploaded three teaser videos on its official Instagram, all with the tag #GucciTheRitual, revealing the title of Alexandro Michele’s upcoming collection.
While the caption states that the Gucci Fall/Winter 2020 collection will be a ‘tribute to the fashion circuit’, these videos show mysterious scenes of vintage porcelain dolls, the inside of a dollhouse (with colourful disco lights), and old, spinning carnival-themed toys. What do they all point to? We have no idea, but from a designer who presented severed heads, UFOs and moving conveyor belts on previous runways, we’re bracing for something that is equally psychedelic and out-of-the-box.
The Gucci Fall/Winter 2020 runway show will begin in Milan today at 3pm (10pm, 19 February, HKT). Discover the new collection with us as we bring you the livestream of the show below, straight from Milan.
