Dior’s DiorTravel collection

I haven’t been shy about my ongoing obsession with Dior’s Saddle collection and its popular Book Tote, specifically those covered in the brand’s iconic Oblique monogram for a design that is both timeless and very chic. Maria Grazia Chiuri has just surprised us by dropping a full luggage line, DiorTravel, plastered in said pattern, and it’s officially got me secretly leaping in excitement.

The collection brings together elegance and functionality, and offers travel essentials from suitcases (HK$29,500 to HK$39,500) to backpacks (HK$18,000), luggage labels, vanity case (HK$15,100), jewellery pouch and even an elegant travel case for our perfume, all adorned with the Dior Oblique canvas or a camouflage motif, along with the “Christian Dior” signature that can be personalised (via the ABCDior service) into whatever text you wish. —Cindie Chan, Style Editor

Chanel SS20 Desert Dream liquid eyeshadow

Lucia Pica, Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, took to the dusty desert high roads with a camera in tow to form the inspiration for this summer makeup collection. Rather than the sun-kissed dunes and lunar plains often associated with this setting, she was instead captivated by the silence, the vast nothingness, and powerful stillness: translated into colour via the quieter shades found within the quartzes, basalts and other minerals strewn across the landscape. It’s all about sun-bleached forest tones, the cool browns of light-leaked polaroids, and romantic and introspective mauves and metallics.

Of a stunning collection of satiny highlights and bronzers, lustrous eye crayons and rosy, bruléed lip colours, I particularly adore the exceedingly blendable liquid eyeshadows. The Ombre Première Laque set (HK$300 each) comes in five colours of varying shades of shimmer, from a light ivory beige that makes for a great inner eye corner highlight or even subtle cheekbone highlight, to a deep violet brown that accentuates the eye creases perfectly. —Evelyn Lok, Associate Editor

Marques’ Almeida asymmetric frayed brocade dress

Despite it being the start of the Lunar New Year, it’s been pretty hard to lift our spirits for celebrations when the health and safety concerns against the Coronavirus are the only thing occupying our minds in the past weeks. Perhaps a little retail therapy might help? I’m currently quite drawn to this particular statement dress (HK$2,915) from Marques’ Almeida‘s SS20 collection, which features a delightfully vibrant floral pattern, along with a ruffled, asymmetric hem. Not only can you wear it on its own, but you can also layer it over a long-sleeve top for a beautiful and elegant flair. —CC

Lush All the Wild Things Soap

In this peak flu and virus season when we’re all focused on hygiene and constantly washing our hands, a reliable hand soap is a must-have. This new Lush product arrives in our time of need, during this whirlwind start to 2020: a reminder that we need to be kinder to ourselves, the planet, and our neighbours.

On that note, we also haven’t forgotten about the ongoing Australia bushfire crisis, and the animals affected by the tragic catastrophe still need our help more than ever. Packed with antiseptic ingredients and always sold with minimal (or naked) packaging, the aptly koala-shaped All the Wild Things Soap (HK$80) is a refreshingly fragrant, germ-beating treat that serves a greater cause. Net proceeds will go towards a Bush Animal Fund, which is dedicated to supporting grassroots organisations across Australia to support wildlife welfare and habitat restoration.
