JW Anderson ‘Cap’ bag

Weekly Obsessions - JW Anderson

Already spotted on celebrities such as Grammy award-winning artist Dua Lipa and Taiwanese actor Talu Wang, this Cap bag by JW Anderson is so cute it’s been on everyone’s wish list since its debut at the brand’s Fall/Winter 2019 womenswear show in London (it appeared again recently at its Spring/Summer 2020 menswear show). Available in smooth calf leather in black, navy and toffee, the bag (HK$6,690) is a playful take on a classic baseball cap, and features a zip-top access through the peak of the cap, along with an adjustable crossbody strap with silver buckle detail. It’s just been exclusively launched on JWAnderson.com, so grab yours now before they run out. —Cindie Chan, Style Editor

Black & Brown ‘Kendra’ rope and leather waist belt

Weekly Obsessions
From shell jewellery to crochet handbags, sea-inspired elements are all over the accessories this Spring/Summer 2019 season. If you are looking for something more effortless and minimalistic, I’d also suggest the rope belt, which has been spotted across the runways from Chloé to Victoria Beckham. This one by London label Black & Brown (HK$644) features off-white cotton threads and soft tan leather tips — a simple and versatile design that will instantly add a nautical touch to just about any look. —CC

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in white ceramic

Weekly Obsessions - Audemars Piguet

One of the most exciting things about this job is the ample opportunities it affords me to constantly reexamine my personal tastes, and AP’s newest iteration of the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar (HK$736,000) is simply the latest example of that. At 41mm and in blindingly white ceramic, it’s the sort of brazen eye candy that I was once preternaturally opposed to. In 2019 though? It’s rocking. Previously released in black ceramic, the new Ref. 26579 puts the Royal Oak QP’s tried-and-true design language to work inside a package which is — as one journalist put it — ‘haptic heaven’. It appears seemingly conventional at a glance, but the exact degree of control vital to crafting a display laden with this much information is nothing short of impressive. Each calendar counter achieves the right kind of visual balance, the blue tapisserie dial provides just enough contrast to enhance legibility, and the movement is an interesting mixture of engineering and pure ornamentation. All in all, an exceedingly effective take on a watch that was already something of a modern classic. —Randy Lai, Staff Writer

Fendi brown fabric belt

Take your belts to the next level with a utility version such as this one by Fendi (HK$13,200), with which you can stylishly store your daily essentials from your smart phone to keys and credit cards. I absolutely love its clean and structural design, and the iconic FF logo created by the late Karl Lagerfeld in 1965. Simply wear it as you would a belt, preferably over a more minimalistic outfit. —CC
