As editors at Lifestyle Asia, we’re privileged to get a first look at the most exciting new luxury goods every single day, but with so many new releases rolling out all the time, it’s virtually impossible to cover every single lust-worthy find we have our eyes on. That’s why we’re starting this Weekly Obsessions feature: to offer you a running list of highly covetable items we’re currently mad about — because if it’s on our radar, it should definitely be on yours, too. From the must-have shoe of the moment to age-defying beauty products, scroll down to see what our editors are obsessing over this week.
Sneakers (and boots with chunky heels) are footwear I heavily rely on for practical reasons, as they are not only comfortable to walk around in all day between press presentations and photoshoots, but they’re also rather fashionable and versatile enough to mix and match with a range of attire. Louis Vuitton’s Archlight sneakers (HK$8,950) would have to be my latest obsession for their stylishly futuristic silhouette — not to mention the 2-inch outer sole for some extra height and longer looking legs! —Cindie Chan, Style Editor
I’ve always been in favour of watches with rectangular faces, as I feel that they give a brilliant mix of sophisticated glamour and edge. Chanel’s Boy.Friend collection has been on my radar for some time now, and its latest member, the Calibre 3 (HK$414,800), is equipped with a new in-house skeletonised movement that is beautifully incorporated into the design detail for all to admire. —CC
We’re getting some fine sunny weather lately and it just makes me long for the pending Spring / Summer collections even more. This necklace from Bulgari’s new ‘Festa’ high jewellery collection — inspired by the Italian spirit and joy of life — reminds me of the pure happiness from all the activities we enjoy outdoors with our loved ones during the warmer season. I can’t wait to see it and the rest of the collection in real life when it arrives in Hong Kong later this month. —CC
In the lead-up to Charlotte Tilbury’s brick-and-mortar opening at the end of the month, we’re obsessed with all of the top makeup artist’s iconic must-haves, especially when it comes to creating dewy, flawless skin that CT is so well-known for. Her latest product introduces a brand new category in the world of makeup: a customisable complexion booster aptly named Hollywood Flawless Filter (HK$320). And, like a well chosen Instagram filter, this sheer tinted glow blurs imperfections, injects the glow of a mega-watt highlighter when used on its own, or can even be used under foundation as a primer (or a soft, subtle glow). It’s available in seven shades, which makes it useful as a light contour as well. It is very, very shiny, so just a light swipe does the trick. —Evelyn Lok, Associate Editor
We all know pre-makeup primer goes a long way for flawless and long-lasting finish, but little did we know that hand cream can benefit from a primer routine too. Crabtree & Evelyn’s signature hand rescue range is a two-step process for day and night: Step one is a quick-penetrating hand primer gel (HK$185), packed with nourishing probiotics and brightening fruit acids for the skin, protecting better against atmospheric pollutants, and helping for better absorption of step two — the brand’s popular Hand Therapy cream (from HK$70). The plant-based complex features hyaluronic acid for extra hydration and ceramides to restore the protective barrier of skin. At night, swap it for the extra-rich Overnight Hand Therapy (HK$195). We adore the two-step suite in the refreshing yet luscious scent of Rosewater and Pink Peppercorn. —EL
