Louis Vuitton Moon backpack

While I love bags with a modern, sleek and elegant design, there’s always room for something different. Recently, I’ve had my eyes on this Louis Vuitton Moon backpack (HK$23,600) from the brand’s Cruise 2020 collection, which packs just the right dose of wickedness in its Gotham-inspired design. The familiar half-moon shape is derived from Louis Vuitton’s classic Alma bag, which has now been stretched slight taller for a more urban and trendy vibe, topped with embossed monogram and the new V logo. Other than a top handle, the bag also doubles up as a backpack for added versatility and a cooler appeal. —Cindie Chan, Style Editor
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie

It’s not hyperbolic to say that when it comes to complicated watchmaking Audemars Piguet has several nuclear options. This year alone, we’ve seen AP watchmakers release an array of pieces that cover the field in terms of technical sophistication. There’s the eye-wateringly thin RD#2, multiple ceramic pieces, and now, the brand’s signature Supersonnerie is getting a makeover — available for the first time in the guise of a mainline Royal Oak (POA). As is par for the course, AP dropped this release — alongside a black-dialled platinum variant — with minimal fanfare over on its website last week. Speaking plainly, it strikes me as AP’s subtlest, most wearable take on the Supersonnerie in recent memory. The slide for the minute repeater integrates neatly with the Royal Oak’s various geometric surfaces while the dial packs in plenty of decorative detail — all without sacrificing an inch of legibility. Limited to an edition of 20 pieces, exclusively through Japanese retailer Yoshida. —Randy Lai, Watches Editor
Maison Margiela’s Graffiti Tabi boots

The Tabi boots are, of course, one of Maison Margiela’s most iconic items since its debut in 1989. There have been many many reinterpretations over the past three decades, and for Fall/Winter 2019, the brand has launched a special edition as part of its Graffiti capsule collection. Available in black or white, the women’s versions have just arrived at the brand’s Harbour City store, while the men’s versions (HK$9,830 each) are currently exclusively available at the brand’s newly opened menswear pop-up at Landmark. —CC
Aimé Leon Dore x Woolrich work vest (in cream)

I’ve always believed that for a designer collab to be any good, a certain level of creative cross-pollination (speaking to wider shared values) is crucial. That’s something the new Aimé Leon Dore/Woolrich pieces have in spades. One of the standouts of the collab — heavy on knits and technical wear — is this cream ‘work vest’ (approx HK$3,094). Made using a cotton-stuffed nylon shell, this piece is equally adept as a mid-layer or lightweight outerwear. A hoodie and some bball shorts will infuse your ensemble with the grit of 90s New York, though it’s just as easy to spruce up with some chinos and a sensible knit tee. —RL
