As editors at Lifestyle Asia, we’re privileged to get a first look at the most exciting new luxury goods every single day, but with so many new releases rolling out all the time, it’s virtually impossible to cover every single lust-worthy find we have our eyes on. That’s what you’ll find in Weekly Obsessions: a running list of highly covetable items we’re currently mad about — because if it’s on our radar, it should definitely be on yours, too. From the must-have shoe of the moment to age-defying beauty products, scroll down to see what our editors are obsessing over this week.

I’m a minimalist and therefore tend to prefer simple, delicate jewellery. Not only are the pieces beautiful on their own, but they also have so much styling potential as you can easily stack with different jewellery to create a look that’s uniquely yours. Piaget has just added new blinging creations to their signature Possession collection, and I adore this pendant (HK$99,000) that’s crafted in 18K rose gold, and set with 116 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 1.54 ct) for added radiance and a malachite cabochon for a delightful pop of colour. —Cindie Chan, Style Editor
I’m guilty of always forgetting to apply sunscreen during my morning routine — especially when I use a foundation that already claims to provide SPF as is. But in the sweltering Hong Kong heat, that pretty much renders itself useless when the makeup melts off the second we walk outside. Jurlique’s newest SPF 50 (PA++++, aka extremely high UVA protection) UV Defence Lotion (HK$390) won me over when they performed a simple swipe test on me: a generic oil formulated liquid foundation applied on top of the sunscreen didn’t even budge when wiped with tissue, meaning the product not only works as protection against the sun’s rays, but also doubles as a powerful satin-finish primer for summer too. —Evelyn Lok, Associate Editor
As a dog mom, anything that involves man’s best friend is rather irresistible to me, which is why when I received Tod’s latest campaign images and saw the brand’s popular Yorky Gomminos (HK$4,800) sitting right next to its almost twin-like Yorkshire Terrier, I simply had to share it with you all. I mean, the Gomminos have long been praised for their comfort — thanks to the iconic rubber outsole featuring rubber pebbles — and understated elegance, so what’s not to love anyway? The new campaign also stars contemporary ballet dancer, Renée Stewart, who’s the daughter of legendary singer Rob Stewart. Check it out here. —CC
Playful prints are the ultimate Spring/Summer essentials, so I hope you’re as happy as I am to learn that Loewe and the legendary Ibiza boutique, Paula’s, are once again joining hands for a second collection featuring both ready-to-wear and accessories in exclusive Paula’s and retro beach motifs — think beach flags, mermaids, circus characters and cartoon hummingbirds. In a playful mix of vivid, multi-coloured combinations, the collection offers up the perfect bohemian coastal wardrobe for your next Mediterranean getaway. —CC
You may be familiar with Hourglass’s Veil, the oil-free mineral primer that is loved for its silky finish and for reducing the look of redness, pores and imperfections without feeling cloying and slathered on. Newly released in the same range is the Veil Retouching Fluid (HK$310), a glorious cross between concealer and serum to help melt down and smooth out creased powder and foundation throughout the day. Packed with hyaluronic acid, plant water extract and grapefruit extract, I’ve found it to be fantastic for smoothing the tired under-eye area and the crevices around the nose with a slight dewyness — a godsend for those sleepless nights! —EL
