As editors at Lifestyle Asia, we’re privileged to get a first look at the most exciting new luxury goods daily, but with so many new releases rolling out all the time, it’s all but impossible to cover every single lust-worthy find we have our eyes on. That’s what you’ll find in Weekly Obsessions: a running list of highly covetable items we’re currently mad about — because if it’s on our radar, it should definitely be on yours, too. From the must-have jewellery of the moment to age-defying beauty products, scroll down to see what our editors are obsessing over this week.

Rosantica ‘Joe’ tasseled beaded belt bag

I love checking out the little stores by the beach when I’m on vacation — and getting an ice-cream while I’m at it — but I don’t really want to bring an entire wallet with me for security reasons. Usually I just tuck a little in a pouch/card holder and hide it in the tote bag with all my other swim necessities, but this little beaded belt bag by Rosantica (HK$1,855) would be a much more stylish alternative (love the added tassels!) that allows me to just take it out from the tote, throw it around my swimwear and casually walk off for a little seaside shopping. It’ll look great around your waist if you’re wearing a one-piece, but if it’s a bikini, you can also attach the gold chain-link strap to carry it across your body. Notice that there’s no leather on this bag which means you don’t have to worry about it getting wet at all! Cindie Chan, Style Editor

Wacko Maria x Fragment Design camp collar shirt

Honouring the leaders of Japanese design in contemporary and luxury casualwear, Mr Porter has just launched ‘The Japan Edit‘ featuring 15 of Japan’s most influential menswear brands. Part of the edit is this camp collar shirt (HK$2,659), which is the stylish product of a collaboration between Messrs Keiji Ishizuka and Atsuhiko Mori’s Wacko Maria and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design. It is woven from fluid Lyocell and comes with a blue zebra-striped pattern, with the brand’s tagline floating in red that reads ‘Guilty Parties’. CC

Prada ‘Robot’ diamond and gold earrings

Prada has just launched its very first fine jewellery collection, which involves a range of designs bearing the house’s emblematic symbols. The most notable of all, I would think, is the robot, as seen in Prada’s iconic “tricks” charms over the years, and also across nylon backpacks and accessories in a capsule collection a few years back. These robot earrings (HK$31,750) — along with the rest of the collection — are not only contemporary and timeless, but also made using only 18-carat gold and diamonds from suppliers with Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certification, a non-profit organisation that promotes ethical, social and environmental-responsible practices in the handling of metals and precious stones, from extraction through to sale. CC

Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser & Resurfacing Mask

We were lucky enough to join in on a recent masterclass with Tata Harper, the Colombian queen of natural skincare herself. The brand has just launched an exclusive beauty counter at Joyce Beauty. During the session, Tata took us through one of her most famous skincare hacks, one she dubs the “Glow Getter,” promising perfect glowy skin for ladies on a time crunch (aka, all of Hong Kong). She first applies her exfoliating Regenerating Cleanser (HK$650), a chemical and physical exfoliant gentle enough for everyday cleansing, and massages until it lathers to white. Then, then she tops it off with a second layer of her best-selling Resurfacing Mask (HK$490), a tingly jelly mask, and lets it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing off the whole thing — quartering the time you would normally spend on a mask ritual yet giving you the astounding effects of an overnight treatment. Whiteheads, blackheads, bumpy skin and redness all melted away like sorcery. I was, as they say, absolutely shook — and if you get anything from the expansive skincare range, make sure you invest in these two secret weapons. Evelyn Lok, Associate Editor
