From tubogas bracelets to hypnotising pendants, Bulgari has interpreted the mystical serpent in countless different ways for decades. This year, however, the Italian luxury jeweller has decided to let you join in the transformation process, by launching a brand-new collection of Serpenti timepieces that are not only stylish and youthful, but also highly customisable.
Adopting a colourful, double-wrap-around design, the new Serpenti collection now features interchangeable leather straps in multiple colours including black, red, white, green, chestnut brown and more. The straps are easily interchangeable, thanks to a practical fastening system, and each timepiece comes with two straps that are crafted from calfskin or Karung, a non-venomous water snake with thin, supple skin and scales.
Even the dial and the case are customisable, with options of steel or pink gold and with or without diamonds for the case, as well as selections of black, red, green, white, mother of pearl, finely lacquered or sunburst guilloché for the 27mm dials. The winding crowns, meanwhile, are each adorned with a cabochon-cut rubellite, for a touch of Bulgari’s signature sophisticated glamour. If you wish, you can also choose to personalise your watch by adding an engraving of your choice on the caseback.
Each Serpenti timepiece takes approximately two months to produce; to begin your customisation process, simply head over to a selected Bulgari boutique near you, and enjoy playing around with over 300 style variations using a tablet installed with a specially developed app.
