Grab your Baguettes and comfy Fendi Flow sneakers, it’s a packed itinerary at the Fendi Caffe. An adventurous day out not under a scorching sun, thankfully, but indoors at the Fendi campground, with endless streams of beautifully brewed coffee. Our kind of afternoon.

It won’t be difficult to spot the taut, expertly pitched tent in the Harbour City atrium, dipped in Fendi’s signature shade of sunshine yellow. The iconic sans serif typeset, however, looked a touch different. Unbridled; artistic. It’s a touch more Sarah Coleman-esque, the New York-based artist Silvia Venturini Fendi enlisted for this collaborative twist. Introducing FF Vertigo, a brand new, reimagined monogram filtered through the creative lens of the artist: 70’s-inspired psychedelic. Warped lettering. Magnified initials in wavy lengths. Bold, vintage hues. A brand new facet of the House time-honoured emblem.

Like the picturesque, Astro-turf landscape on show, Fendi’s Summer 2021 capsule collection indicates a season spend outdoors in the sunshine weather. Bonfires by the beach. Surf days. Camping on hilly plains. Amongst the classic rota of logo-stamped staples — miniaturised Sunshine shopper totes spun with straw; a vintage tie-neck swimsuit, sun-bursting from the centre ring — spot a line of warm-weather essentials and handy range of collectable tools: multi-coloured ‘FF Vertigo’ lunch carrier, the matching thermos made in collaboration with 24Bottles, strung upon a bright yellow leather carrier, and, a classic retro summer essential, Polaroid camera sleeved in the entrancing, rainbow-dipped ‘FF Vertigo’.

Post stroll through the collection, take a breathe and kick back on the nearby benches — swathed in the same groovy 70’s-inspired pattern — with a treat off the Fendi Caffe coffee truck, courtesy of Between Coffee. A cuppa of the deliciously brewed coffee with the cocoa-dusted logo and the ‘FF’-stamped yuzu caramel cookies and dark chocolate tart, unique only to this Fendi glamp-site, makes for a most luxurious afternoon.

Fendi Caffe is open from until 6 June at Atrium II, G/F, Gateway Arcade, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Browse the Summer Vertigo collection online here.
