It’s not just your skin that tans under the scorching sun – your hair too faces the brunt. The high heat and humidity can dry your hair and also lead to split ends. Haven’t you noticed your hair feel more itchy and flaky during summers? It’s because dust settles more easily on a sweaty head leading to a more sensitive scalp. Untended, it clogs hair follicles leading to seasonal hair loss. Even hair colour fades more quickly in summers.

Regular home-cleansing and conditioning help control summer-hair woes but to have hair that shines despite the sun, you need something extra. Here’s a roundup of best hair treatments to elevate your summer hair game that we have personally tried.

Systems Professional Energy Code Mapping

Where: Body Craft Spa & Salon, Kemps Corner/Chembur, Mumbai

Duration: 90 minutes

Systems Professional believes that each person’s hair has a unique energy profile – they call the EnergyCode that works to recalibrate the hair’s natural lipid layer. A set of curated questions helps to figure out your concerns. A special microscopic device checks out the hydro-lipid balance, scalp sensitivity, hair damage and loss, and dandruff. All the information is entered into the Systems Professional app, your energy code is revealed, which determines the combination of products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, infusions – that will be used during the treatment. A typical treatment includes cleansing, application of mask, and concentrated infusions, an indulgent head massage, micro mist for deeper penetration of the ingredients, and the final rinse-off followed by a low heat blowout.
