Our brands

In a sea of Instagram influencers and the long lists of men’s grooming recommendations that follow them, it’s always difficult to keep a track of the best products and regimes. So, we picked five of India’s top men’s style and grooming influencers, and asked them about the products they truly swear by. This is what they had to say.

“When it comes to hairstyling, my approach has always been minimal but it’s important to figure out what suits your hair best. Waxes/gels aren’t really for me since the texture of my hair is thin. Which is why I prefer using Schwarzkopf Osis – Dust It Mattifying Powder (Rs 750). Dust is extremely easy to use and allows me to style my hair like it was blow-dried. Love the fact that it has a firm hold yet maintains the original texture of the hair.

“The second men’s grooming product I love is the Label. M Volume Mousse (Rs 2,500). It always gets me the right amount of volume. Also the styling lasts for hours, and most importantly, it smells great. If you’re looking for perfumes to complete the ritual, try the Creed Aventus or the Dior Sauvage.”

“We cannot stress enough upon the importance of having great skin. To help us do so, we’ve been using the St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub (Rs 399) for years. It helps clear dead skin and leaves us feeling absolutely fresh.

“Apart from this, there’s the Olay Total Effect Serum Moisturizer and Night Cream (Rs 1,698). A good moisturiser and night cream are essential for a healthy glowing skin and Olay is an integral part of our skin care regime.

“Skincare is a very intimate affair and I’ve always been careful of which products I’m exposing my skin to. But one product I’ve always trusted is the Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly (Rs 2,800). It has a really amazing texture and moisturising effect, which is great for men whose skin requires moisturizing during the day.

“When it comes to haircare, I’ve always been a fan of Kama’s Bringadi Hair Oil (Rs 1,295). Over the years, I’ve been using this about twice a week and it has worked marvelously to enrich my scalp and thicken my hair. While heading out and even while travelling, I’ve kept close a bottle of Schwarzkopf Oil Ultime, which is great for on-the-go styling instead of dry hair waxes and gels.”

    Rij Eappen

“If I had to point out a common men’s grooming mistake, it’s perhaps the lack of sunscreen use. Most people underestimate or are quite unaware of the damage the sun can do to your skin. I never leave home without applying a sunscreen gel with anti-ageing actives from Truderma (Rs 899).

“The second would be this matte effect cream wax called Machismo, from The Man Company (Rs 349*). I can’t remember the last time I left home without using a hair product, and over the years, I’ve used different waxes, gels, and holding creams. I love using it simply for its strong hold as it works great for my thick hair and rinses off easily.”

    Sarang Patil

    men's grooming

“I’ve noticed that overuse of product can be a major men’s grooming turn-off. Which is why I’ve always trusted Moroccanoil Molding Cream (Rs 1,980) with my hair. This particular hair product has been an absolute favourite — I don’t like my hair too sticky or too rough. And as I have wavy hair I always prefer to keep them short and style with this product.

“When it comes to keeping my skin fresh, I make absolutely no compromise. Face wash is most essential part of my skin care routine as I prefer refraining from the use of make up. I always keep Himalaya Purifying face wash (Rs 120) handy as my skin is very sensitive and breaks out easily. It’s affordable, easy to carry, and efficient. That’s the winning combination for a grooming essential right there.”
