Our brands

Winter is not too far, and with it will arrive a new set of skincare woes. But there is help at hand, this month’s Fab Bag has been redesigned to make this season spectacular. It comes with a good dose of liquid lipsticks and abundant skincare, and what’s even better is that the products have been curated to mark the brand’s seventh anniversary – ‘Made In Seven’.
It includes the new Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick mini sets, TS Cosmetics Pressed Glitter, Nirvaana 100% Pure & Natural Hair Spray, Garnier Skin Naturals Sakura White Face Serum Sheet Mask, and a W2 Face Wash in Strawberry. All in a versatile Fab Bag double-folded red purse, perfect to carry your beauty essentials. We got our hands on it, and here’s our review of the Fab Bag September 2019 beauty kit.

This is the second time we’ve reviewed a Fab Bag offering, and like the last time, the products stood out for their quality and versatility. The first of these is the tin box from Sugar Cosmetics, which contains 4 mini lipsticks from the liquid matte collection in bright and bold colours – there’s Brazen Raisin, Wine, Rethink Pink, and Toast Roast. All popular shades are highly pigmented and long-lasting. Arguably my favourite, the tin box is sturdy and definitely one you will reuse, so brownie points for that. The lipstick’s generous amount of vitamin E and liquid finish goes with every look. No wonder this homegrown brand is giving the biggies a run for their money.

Their second product, pressed glitter, puts the sparkle in glam. T S Cosmetics, a homegrown label by Tabassum Saher, is our favourite Instagram page for all the right reasons. The product is pigmented and bright, and glides over the eyes beautifully; but unlike the powdered variety, it’s chunky and difficult to clean. However, what it lacks in texture, it makes up for in durability.

The brand has introduced two new interesting skincare products – the W2 Facewash in Strawberry and the Hydrating Serum Sheet Mask from Garnier in Sakura White. At first use, the facewash might feel heavier than the others you may have used – a bit mask-like, it comes without too much foam. However after a wash, we discovered that it gives the skin a glow, makes it look refreshed, and leaves a mild scent of strawberries. Definitely a keeper.

The Sakura White Hydrating Serum Mask is another big favourite. Sakura extract is a glow-inducing powerful ingredient from Japan that softens the mask sheet. The essence of it lies in Vitamin B3 and Vitamin CG that helps moisturise and hydrate the skin.

The last item in the magic bag is perhaps the most underrated – the full-size Nirvaana Detangling Hair Spray that’s lightweight and handy for everyday touch-ups. Infused with lavender and rosemary essential oils, the spray promises instant shine and frizz-free hair. Aloe Vera nourishes the scalp while locking the natural moisture. I loved how handy and easy to use it is – the bottle could be dropped into a bag and off you go.
