What is your current beauty routine looking like?
For me, my routine revolves around everything healthy. I believe in keeping myself hydrated, eating lots of fruits and vegetables and sleeping well – a healthy mind leads to a healthy body. It’s all about following the basics and the rest will fall in place. Beginning my day on a bright note is very important to me, preferably with some form of workout – I do pilates and a bit of body pump. And of course there’s nothing more refreshing or rejuvenating than a luxurious bath – after a long day, it’s about taking care of yourself.
Must-haves in your beauty regime that you cannot live without?
I never leave home without sunscreen and fruity lip balm, they’re my saviours in the unpredictable weather. I also truly believe that beauty works from the inside which means healthy food that automatically takes care of your skin effortlessly. That means, fruits, cream, honey, almonds and milk on the daily.
A beauty tip that will always keep you in good stead?
Keep yourself hydrated and that means drink loads of water so your skin stays plump and dewy and sleep well – 8 hours of sleep will take care of everything from dark circles to glowing skin. Begin every new day on a positive note and an energizing bath. I pick up my favourite Fiama scents body wash and step into lukewarm water.
What your mom taught you about taking care of yourself, about beauty?
The more you give, the happier you are! That’s my mom’s motto in life. She’s the epitome of strength and positivity for me, and the fact that she finds her happiness in the simplest pleasures in life is something I intend to imbibe from her. Stay clean, eat well, sleep stress free and hydrate are her daily instructions. And as for beauty, my entire natural products regimen is inspired and monitored by my mother who is always looking up effective and safe skin care routines for me. We both gravitate towards home-made masks and scrubs – natural is the way to go.
A makeup trick or skincare trick you learnt on the job?
Always match your face tone with your neck so that your face doesn’t look chalky. I live by this one rule.
