Bachchan, last seen in 2018 movie ‘Manmarziyaan’ opposite Tapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, is back in the ‘The Big Bull’ as Harshad Mehta. Directed by Kookie Gulati of ‘Prince’ (2010) fame and produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit, the movie will surface the life of the infamous Indian stockbroker’s financial crisis spanning over a period of 10 years (1980 to 1990). The financial drama crime movie will also feature Nikita Dutta, Ileana D’Cruz, Ram Kapoor, and Sumit Vats in key roles.
Before Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi, there was the late Harshad Mehta, a man who notoriously scammed the entire country with his stock manipulation scheme, eventually exposing the several loopholes in the Indian banking system. The 1992 securities scam is what is he known for, a Rs 5,000 crore scam that rocked the Bombay Stock Exchange.
”The Big Bull – an exceptional tale of a man who sold dreams to India. So thrilled to get this home delivered to you where you’ll get to watch the First Day First Show with #DisneyPlusHostarMultiplex,” captioned Bachchan the post of the news of the movie, on Instagram.
Besides ‘The Big Bull’, Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen in Amazon Prime Video web series ‘Breathe: Into the Shadows’. On the film front, the actor also has ‘Bob Biswas’ and ‘Ludo’ in the pipeline.
