Amazon Original The Last Hour: Story, Series Cast & More —

The eight-episode series unfolds in the scenic Himalayan town of Sikkim after a young girl is mysteriously murdered. As the ominous powers begin to haunt more and more people, a newly transferred cop Arup (played by Sanjay Kapoor) is summoned to solve the murders. Although, the supernatural deaths outwit his years of experience, which compels Arup to seek the help of a local informant and a shaman, Dev (played by Karma Takapa).

However, Dev is more than a just local informant; his preternatural powers lie in his ability to communicate with the souls of the dead. And then there’s an angle between the shaman and the daughter of the cop, who has been searching for the truth about an incident from the past involving her parents. Will the shaman be torn between his love and his duty towards the dead?

Apart from the stellar cast of Sanjay Kapoor, Shahana Goswami and Raima Sen, the supernatural crime thriller will credit most of its success to the men behind the screen. While Kapoor is a veteran actor, he auditioned for the role of Arup for the first time in 25 years of his career. And director Karma Takapa will be making his debut as an actor with The Last Hour.

The film is written, directed, and produced by Anupama Minz and Amit Kumar, who had written and directed Bypass in 2003 (one of the most memorable Indian shorts ever, starring Irrfan Khan and a relatively unknown Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Another crucial name that shines through its credit is the executive producer of The Last Hour, Asif Kapadia, the man behind hits such as Senna, Mindhunter, and Amy
