With the economy seeing a downward curve, here’s how you can do your bit to help businesses during coronavirus.
The COVID-19 pandemic is predicted to crush the economy as much as (or even more) than the 2008 economic depression. And a few industries have already been affected, namely the food, travel, and retail sectors. With everyone trying to pitch in and help each other with the same, here’s an easy way to help homegrown businesses keep their head above the water.
Save Local is an initiative started by Hashtag Loyalty, a firm that helps businesses engage with consumers. They came up with this initiative for the lockdown. As it’s indicated that the period will be extended beyond April 14, now is the time to do your bit for your favourite cafes, shopping spots, grocery stores, pubs, and more.
They’ve got businesses from 35 cities across India, spread through seven verticals – automobile, travel, food & drink, shopping, services, health & wellness, and entertainment. All you have to do is select the city and business of your choice, buy the coupon, and avail it when they’re allowed to function again. You can choose from the given denominations of Rs 250, Rs 500, Rs 1,000, and Rs 2,000, or pick a custom amount of your choice. These are discounted coupons, so in actuality, you pay less than these denominations but avail the full amount later.
At a time when every action counts, this is one easy and non-taxing way to help out the community.
