Chicken and Pakchoy

This gem from Massive Restaurants, right in the centre of Delhi’s shopping hotspots, often serves as an ideal lunch stop-by. Not that this stops Pa Pa Ya from being host to many a fun dinners. The modern Asian bistro launched a special menu focused only on dimsums this season, and over 60 types of dumplings on offer alone make it a must-try. Baos, wontons, soupy dumplings, dim sums coated in rice, rice paper rolls, and more served with stuffing of your choice — veggies, chicken, pork, lamb, fish, or prawns — make for the perfect dimsum-only meal. Expect the feel-good dimsums that you love, here; high on sauces and spices and bursting with flavour. The prawn rice paper rolls, truffle and mushroom bar, and pan seared chicken leg ones definitely need a spot in your order.

Hong Kong Club

The Asian dining space at Andaz hotel has a brand new brunch menu, and yet another one that panders to the comfort food tastes. Taking on Cantonese cuisine, they’ve got fun appetisers like shredded fried potato with chinkiang vinegar and chilli oil (think Asian aloo lachcha) and crispy lotus roots, which are hard to not love. If you love a good chow mein, with the heavy garlic, all the veggies, and generous spring onion topping, theirs is a bowl to chow on. What is also good are the crystal dim sums (we had the prawn one), the barbecued chicken bao will have us going back, and the crispy fired ones warm the heart.

Delhi’s upping the ante on Asian food, and these are the restaurants to head to

When not writing, she is on the lookout for three things: A great dark chocolate dessert, a beautiful pool where she can practice her backstroke, and art that she can save up for.
