Summer is approaching and its time again for the menus to change. Adding its own twist to the seasonal tradition is Elan, The Lodhi hotel’s restaurant serving regional Indian, Mediterranean, and South East Asian cuisines. This month they’re hosting a pop-up for Nepali cuisine — A Taste of Royal Nepal.
Chef Nirmal Karki of the restaurant has curated the menu to bring to the table the royal way of dining in Nepal. Influenced by Awadhi and western flavours, the food is authentic Nepalese and bold on the palate.
Dishes such as Bhogate Sandeko (pomello in hung curd, sugar, and chilli), Chile Sukuti (sundried lamb, tomato, chilli, and pepper), Yomari (traditional newari rice flour filled with jaggery and sesame seeds), and many more come together for this pop-up menu.
