The trend of bringing in international chefs to the home turf for special menus and pop-ups has been growing by the day, and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The movement is a great way for restaurants, hotels, and bars to experiment, be integrated with the global F&B community, and offer unique experiences to the patrons. Taking this forward this week is JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar with their ‘Culturally Catalan’ pop-up.
JW Café, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, is bringing Spanish flavours to Mumbai, starting today. This 10-day pop-up will serve dishes inspired form the Catalonia region of the country, and will be helmed by Chef Miguel Blanco. Working the kitchens at Ritz Carlton’s Hotel Arts Barcelona, Blanco specialises in authentic Spanish cuisine. Originally from north-western Spain, Santiago de Compostela city, he’s now stationed in Barcelona and is going to serve robust Spanish flavours in Mumbai this week.
