Bushido, Hakkasan

The 18-year old restaurant has 12 outlets across the world. Hakkasan opened doors in Mumbai in 2011, and has since become the go-to spot for Chinese cuisine. We’re loving their Bushido cocktail. Served only at the Mumbai restaurant, it is concocted using Johnnie Walker Black Label whiskey, paired with a locally-inspired and in-house infused orange liqueur. The beautiful orange-brown is uplifted by a spritz of vanilla air on top, creating a bitter-citrus-sweet mix.

Lavender Gimlet, Mustard

Goa’s gift to Mumbai, Mustard serves up an interesting duo of cuisines – Bengali and French. No fusion here, they are inspired by the emphasis on mustard in both cuisines, and create flavours that bring out the best in them. Their Lavender Gimlet in a gentle spin on the traditional gin & lime cocktail. They take lavender-infused gin and mix it with cucumber, lime cordial, and lime juice, resulting in a delicate, pretty-hued, sweet-n-sour tipple.

Bringing together Spain and India, Uno Mas opened in the city late last year. Already a favourite, the tapas restaurant and bar comes up with some delicious cocktails. This International Women’s Day we’re leaning towards Kalingad, which is a marriage of Indian and Spanish flavours. Sherry, Spanish white wine, and fresh watermelon juice come together for this exquisite looking glass.

Martini, The Quarter

As The Quarter says, “We’ve never met a heel too high or a martini too strong”, and we’re agree. Their take on the typical martini is a Basil Lemon Martini, balancing the strong punch of gin and vermouth with peppery citrus notes. If you want a drink that’s strong and rejuvenating at the same time, this is your answer.
