The cocktail culture in the capital is getting more innovative and engaging by the day. Another feather in this cap is the pop-up being hosted by The Oberoi, Delhi, this week. The Mexican bar Licoreria Limantour, 11th in the World’s 50 Best Bars, is bringing their craft of cocktails to the city for two days. Benjamin Padrón Novoa, co-founder, and José Luis León Martinez, general bar manager, will be shaking things up at Cirrus9, The Oberoi’s rooftop bar. Blending the old with the new, Licoreria Limantour cocktails are known for keeping a firm foot in the traditional ways of drinking, and expertly combining those with people-pleasing trends of the day; their tagline, ‘The New Old Days’ perfectly sums it up.
Novoa and Martinez will stir and shake some of their signature infusions. These include The Old George Sour, a tequila base with cucumber, basil, and cardamom; Margarita Al Pastor, another tequila cocktail with a fruity profile created by generous servings of pineapple chunks and lime juice; and Mr. Pink, gin with grapefruit juice, orange bitters, and hibiscus syrup, looking stunning served in a highball glass and garnished with a rosemary stick.
