‘The Big Bull’ and his big wheels: Take a look at Abhishek Bachchan’s luxe garage

We take a look at The Big Bull, Abhishek Bachchan’s ultra-luxe car collection.

Abhishek Bachchan’s The Big Bull takes us back to one of the biggest crisis of the Indian financial stock market in the 1990s. During this time, there was one man responsible for all the bullish glory, Harshad Mehta. Mehta started off with humble beginnings living in a dingy Mumbai slum and turned into a stock market mogul who arguably had the entire Indian market revolving around him. Hotstar’s The Big Bull showcases the rise and fall of the icon, but we’d also like to pay special attention to the man playing The Big Bull, AB junior.

Much like Mehta or Hemant Shah (as the biopic names him), Abhishek Bachchan is no slouch when it comes to the luxe life and driving exotic cars. Here are some of the cars we’ve spotted in his garage.

The Big Bull on Hotstar: Abhishek Bachchan car collection —

Before we jump into AB’s list, we’d like to talk about one of the real-life cars of Harshad Mehta. A supremely special 1991 Lexus LS 400 that he considered his lucky charm. As the story goes, after celebrating a big win, he visits an imported car dealership looking to purchase a car that nobody has ever seen. He takes a look at the Maharaja’s 1200 cc Alfa Romeo, Plymouth, but he insists on something new. The dealer tells him there’s a special 1991 Lexus LS 400 coming in from Dubai next month for his competitor Ajay Kedia. He pays the dealer 45 lakhs and an extra ten lakhs to have it delivered straight to his house.

Audi A8L

The Big Bull

The ‘L’ in the A8 means Audi has given this whip the extra touch of German excellence above the already brilliant Audi A8. This presidential ride stands as a flagship sedan for The Four Rings, a fitting set of wheels for AB junior. The Audi A8 packs a 3-litre V6 producing 335-bhp at 5000-rpm and torque of 500-Nm at 1370-rpm. At least these are the entry-level specs, and there’s no shortage of German muscle if needed. Inside, the cabin is designed for pure luxury and seamless travel. We can see why Bachan fancies this power-cruiser.

W221 Mercedes Benz S350

The Big Bull

We’d say this elegant ride is shared between The Big Bull and his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, as we’ve often seen both of them cruise around in this. According to reports, the W221 is currently off the shelves and replaced by a W222 luxury sedan. At launch, the W221 S-Class’ exterior styling is distinct and made quite a statement in the market. Being the brand’s presidential sedan, we’re sure the interiors make no compromise in providing a clear, plush drive. Under the hood, you’ll find a 3.5-litre V6 engine, combined with the hybrid system, which develops 295-hp (220 kW) and 284-lb⋅ft (385 N⋅m) of torque.

Bentley Continental GT

We know the Bachchans dynasty owns a plethora of luxury cruisers, but apart from the Phantom VIIs and the S-Classes, there’s one ride that will always have our eye – The Bentley Continental GT. It’s the perfect combination of power, elegance, and free-spirited nature. Reportedly, this car was gifted to the Bachchans by politician Amar Singh. The top-spec engine, a thunderous W12, Twin-Turbocharged guzzler, offers 635-hp with a max torque of 900-Nm. The Big Bull catapults from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 329 km/h.

Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG

The Big Bull

The jumbo expression of Mercedes’ German suave and power is the GL63 AMG. The Bachchans have a penchant for Mercs. If you want the brand’s luxury trimmings, raw power and space, this is the car. It’s also probably the biggest in their garage. Under the hood, the GL63 fits a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that churns out roughly 550-bhp and 760-Nm of torque. The car can also fit in the entire Bachchan khandaan easily.
