The MG Hector Plus is currently the hottest new SUV on the block; taking Hector’s stride onto larger dimensions but with a digital punch in its cabin.

The ‘Plus’ in its name stands for more than just cabin space. The newly launched Hector has done an impressive amount of upgrades with the new extra space. With three rows and a six-seater setup, the engines roar in three different variants to match one’s urban liking. While the new MG Hector plus begins at starting price of Rs 13.48 lakh, MG stated that this is an introductory price, which will hold up to August 13. Expect a hike of half a lakh after that.

The new MG will slate in with four variants: Style, Super, Sharp, and Smart. Its top-spec model is the Sharp Turbo diesel MT variant that comes with a price-tag of Rs 18.53 lakh. If you’re wondering what separates the standard Hector from the Plus, it isn’t just space. There’s a serious dose of electronic upgrades that are almost at par with luxury SUVs we know of today.

MG Hector Plus
They’ve introduced a new Smart Swipe feature with this line, which automatically opens the boot when the user swipes foot beneath the rear bumper. Inside, there’s online voice recognition, a new Chit-Chat voice interaction to keep you company when driving alone, Geo-Fence for safety, Over-The-Air-Updates for constant connectivity and Vehicle Health scanning. These are just to name a few from its long list of 55+ connected features.

To the rear, we also see third-row bench seating with individual AC vents. The second-row seats can now slide and recline. The Hector Plus also gets a new tan faux leather upholstery, keeping up to its British suave.

As mentioned earlier, you get three engine variants – 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol hybrid, and a 2.0-litre diesel. In terms of gearboxes, you get to choose from tons of options depending on your choice of engine. In terms of engine numbers, the Hector Plus gets two powertrain options in the form of 143-PS / 250-Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 170- PS / 350-Nm 2.0-litre diesel motors. Both the engines are BS 6 complaint.

The new MG Hector Plus is currently open to bookings and offers contact-less experience delivery and test driving services with utmost safety.
