Like most of us, I always thought that yoga is just about twisting our body into complicated contortions and about being a human pretzel. Until @munmun.ganeriwal told me it isn’t. Sitting on the mat every day for few minutes, trying to tune in even when infinite thoughts might interfere, offers as much benefits to our body and mind. The act of meditating is actually classified as ‘Upasana Yoga’ in Yogic scriptures. An incredible stroke of luck is that International Yoga Day today coincides with the Solar Eclipse. An eclipse is one of the best time to deepen our spiritual practice, so make sure you meditate today for few minutes at least. If you are thinking how to start …. @munmun.ganeriwal says, “the best way to begin a meditation practice is to begin!” #InternationalYogaDay2020

Having a corner where you can unwind, meditate, and practice yoga is a must when it comes to your personal space. And Pannu’s balcony allows her to do that. Embellished with the right amount of greenery and quirky frames, this is where she unwinds.

Meaningful insignias

This is the day I had my apartment in Mumbai ready, with all interior work done. It was strange that when I left for the shoot of Manmarziyaan I left from the old apartment I had taken on rent when I first moved to Mumbai n by the time I finished shooting the film n came back I entered the new apartment. Like a new chapter began just like that. It was a very seamless transition for me but it went through its share of teething issues which were all sorted by my sister n mom before I entered home. Made me realise no matter how much effort you put in, the house stays a house until it’s lived in with your family who then make it ‘Home’. That’s the blue door that I wanted for my home n keeping the ambition flying high I always wanted a logo instead of a name plate outside my house. Seeing it all come together for the first time was definitely a defining moment in a girl’s life who wanted to create her own space which she can look at everytime she sets an ambitious goal and feel ‘it’s possible’

Your house is your sanctuary, and you can loop in anything of sentimental value via your decor scheme. For Pannu, it was this blue door. She took to social media when she moved into her new house.

Invest in a statement piece when it comes to walls. Photo frames and wall hangings are one thing but there are a number of other options. Needless to say, we love this piece on Pannu’s wall.

When you are a star, impromptu shoots are a part of your schedule. Be it the baroque door, a wallhanging or painting, anything can become a perfect backdrop. We love these wooden room dividers decked up with floral curtains, giving Panu’s pastel ensemble an ideal pop.

Quirky pieces make up a place

Just in case you are planning to deck up your living space, we say invest in a number of statement-making pieces. From beautiful candle stands to flowers, the repository of options is brimming. Taapsee Pannu’s home is a repository of such exquisite pieces.

Creating your green space

In a cosmopolitan like Mumbai, how does one create a green space? Investing in indoor plants is one of the most viable options. They not only add a dose of colour but have a calming impact. It is one of the most delightful corners in Taapsee Pannu’s home.
