Our brands

Denims have graduated from off-duty staples to an inseparable part of the couture runways, thanks to a number of a forward-thinking design mavericks who have given us upgraded iterations. Today, it’s not just about owing a pair of jeans but also about pushing boundaries with hand-painted trucker jackets, denim corsets, and shirt dresses. Here are celeb-approved denim trends to follow this year.

This 80s trend is making a comeback, and Deepika Padukone is proof. Looking for a perfect casual, off-duty look? A white shirt and denim combination makes it to our cut. Styled by Shaleena Nathani, this look stands out owing to its effortless appeal. You can even think of pairing it a sleek black blazer or a cropped leather jacket. Add large hoops for an edge.

    Denim dresses

Traditionally, one is acquainted with the run-of-the-mill repository of day dresses, but this year, denim dresses are set to become big. And of course, Shaleena Nathani‘s Dior number just racks up extra points for its pleated detailling.

    Half and half

From Versace to Balmain, half and half is a major trend. Didn’t see Cardi B’s funky half and half leather suit or Sonam Kapoor sporting the trend? Well, just know that it has filtered down to denims. Think of different hues of blues paired together in the same shirt or jacket.

    Denim on denim

Even though, this has been in the bracket of celeb-approved denim trends for a while, you can still make it your own. Athia Shetty in Bhane styled by Ami Patel is serving us some major off-duty vibes. Instead of a regular denim shirt, we love this belted rendition paired with regular jeans (also, those Gucci loafers!). You can even pair different tones of denim to experiment with the trend. The trick is to break the monotony of the colour.

    Perfection of patch work

Patch work denims might seem like a daring trend, but playing easy is the key. Pair it with a white crisp buttoned down or a basic white top. Case in point is Bella Hadid styled by Mimi Cuttrell. A number of street style fixtures such as Chiara Ferragni and Rihanna have given this trend an approval.

    Upgraded trucker jackets

Think of infusing your wardrobe with denim trucker jackets. Hand-painted, embellished ones have out vote. Approved by the likes of Michael Kors and Tommy Hilfiger, these new wardrobe hero pieces have been worn by Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra. And this Kareena Kapoor Khan look styled by Lakshmi Lehr has our heart.

    Denim blazers

Blazers might traditionally be for pairing with trousers, but rules are meant to be broken. We love the way Sonam Kapoor exudes a boss lady vibe in this look put together by Rhea Kapoor. The rule is to let some formal hints peak; think of a formal white shirt and a brooch to make a statement.

    Jumpsuits

From Rihanna to Deepika Padukone to Jennifer Lopez, celebrities have been sporting jumpsuits as their airport looks. However, this Esse Clothing jumpsuit on Kiara Advani stands out. What’s not to love? From a midriff baring cut-out to a back zipper and a belted waist, everything comes together seamlessly. Also notice the flares — just enough to channel your inner 70s wild child.
