Even posthumously the legendary Karl Lagerfeld continues to be a powerful force in fashion. His signature silhouettes and colour schemes are inspiration to multiple designers and brands globally. The German fashion house has announced its latest collaboration that will give you a chance to invest in the Lagerfeld memorabilia. Uber-stylish western women’s apparel and accessories label, Cover Story has collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld for a line of prêt-à-porter pieces. What makes the Cover Story X Karl Lagerfeld collaboration unique is the design that keeps Indian body types, seasonal, and cultural preferences in mind.

The Daywear collection is full of sharp and crisp pieces aligning the minimal Lagerfeld aesthetic in a monochrome palette – think peplum white shirts, the poplin shirt-dress,  logo belts, and flared dresses in houndstooth. Every piece is created to help transform your look from boardroom to brunch instantaneously. Besides these, there are slit dresses in red, and pieces featuring snow-leopard mono-print and bold houndstooth design.

Karl Lagerfeld is the epitome of sophisticated evening wear donned to accentuate every inch of your body. This collaboration comprises heavily sequined bodycon silhouettes with tux detailing featuring chains and studs. There are pieces that standout such as the black-sequinned wide-leg jumpsuit, an androgynous tuxedo suit and a tuxedo-dress juxtaposed with georgette sleeves.

The FW19 and SS20 collection will be available at Cover Story outlets in Mumbai and Delhi. It will also be showcased at special pop-up shops held in New Delhi’s Select City Walk and DLF Promenade for a period of six months from October, 17th 2019. The range is priced between Rs 5000 and Rs 15,000.
