Olivier Rousteing recently released the latest campaign images for Balmain’s spring 2019 campaign. Featuring supermodel Cara Delevingne, the campaign is a recreation of Patrick Demarchelier’s 1993  photograph of Janet  Jackson posing in front of her then-boyfriend, Rene Elizondo.  Rousteing who roped in German photographer Dan Beleiu for the campaign counts Jackson’s famous picture as one of the most iconic images which influenced pop culture. The campaign comes at a time when Rousteing is laying the foundation to take Balmain forward as a brand. With his recent couture show for the house and his plans to launch the Balmain’s new flagship store on Paris’ Rue Saint-Honoré, this campaign comes at a right time.
