LifestyleAsia’s catch-up with Disha Patani reveals that comfort for clothes and layering for jewellery are her ultimate style mantras.

Disha Patani ORRA

Ever since her breakout role in sports biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Disha Patani’s career has gone from strength to strength. The bashful actress has made her name with both her acting chops and dancing skills. With a svelte physique (a result of intense training) and lush hair, there are very few fashionable looks that the actress can’t pull off. But it’s her action-packed roles and fitness videos that keep us hooked. So when Disha Patani posted a parkour video recently, the world sat up to take notice of her mad gymnastic skills and agility.

With a penchant for fitness over fashion, style is all about comfort for Patani. The actress who has starred in films like the Baaghi series, Bharat and more recently, Malang is no-stranger to a busy work schedule. So it’s little wonder that the actress’ style choices are always around athleisure. “I am open to experimenting with any style as long as it’s comfortable to wear. Combining style with comfort is my go to mantra. I prefer clothes that are plain and simple with minimalistic work and then I let my jewellery do the talking. A spaghetti strapped A-line dress is my go-to evening outfit. I would stack on some bracelets and rings and lariats in the same tone to uplift the look along with my stilettos to complete the look,” she shares.

As Disha Patani becomes the brand ambassador for ORRA and launches the Desired Collection, she talks to LifestyleAsia about the style mantras she religiously sticks to and the hero pieces from ORRA’s new collection.  Patani, a perfect ambassador for jewellery with a strong ethos and style, gives us the dossier on how to style the collection.

 ORRA -Desired Collection (9)

Your three top style rules that have worked for you?

Firstly, find your personal style and stick to it. It is all about developing your signature style and owning it. Secondly, I feel that accessories can transform a look. Create layers with multiple rings, necklaces and bangles to ensure that your outfit looks more put-together. Lastly, and most importantly, always wear clothes that make you feel comfortable.

What are the key jewellery pieces one must invest in?

I think one should invest in versatile or multi-purpose minimal jewellery as they can be worn and incorporated for any look. I am a huge fan of layering jewellery, be it neckpieces, rings or bracelets. I love layering as it adds an element of fun to your outfit without going overboard or overcomplicating the look.

What are your favourite pieces from ORRA’s new collection?

The Desired collection is a mix of minimal yet beautiful jewellery. I am a huge fan of the eye-catching chains and neckpieces which you can simply layer or mix and match for a perfect evening or date night look. However, my favorite pieces from the collection are the heart choker, the heart bracelet, the heart pinky ring and the zodiac medallion which depicts my sun sign.
