Japanese brand Uniqlo is back with yet another tempting collection and this time it’s Parisian chic. Known for its simple and durable LifeWear collection, Uniqlo’s new collection with fashion model Ines de la Fressange will be out on January 31.
Uniqlo’s new collection with the top international model will feature pieces that are inspired by the Roaring 20s. Underling French chic, the SS20 line is a tribute to women of every era. All of its 54 pieces are in tune with the Fressange’s idea of ‘Luxurious clothes, and beyond’, and brings together her belief in comfort and style, and Uniqlo’s LifeWear philosophy of innovative and high-quality clothing.
The line comprises of three themes, each matching distinct style preferences. The first one is sports styling, inspired by the Summer Olympics held in Paris in 1924. Taking a leaf from the styling of the games, the collaboration has resulted in masculine looks such as Tilden knitwear and jersey pants with key white and green colours. The second theme is French cowboy, also known as the clothing of ‘Gardians,’ French for cowboys, in Arles. Known for inspiring the paintings of Picasso and Van Gogh, Arles is also a city Fressange has been visiting for over 30 years. Moved by its strong sunlight and shadow, Fressange has created pants and long shirts in black and white.
The third and last theme of this collection adds colour with separates meant for the outdoors. The 20s were a time of great progress for women, who began enjoying styles that mirrored newfound freedom. As a result, the range features light dresses with ruffles and prints in relaxing silhouettes.
The collection will be available at Ambience Mall, Vasant Vihar.
