Kunal Rawal, who recently opened his flagship store in Mumbai, has now collaborated with Nissan India to co-create the Nissan Seat Belt Shirt. Wrinkle-resistant and combining style and quality for both men and women, it seeks to look impeccable without sacrificing on comfort and safety. Available in classic white, the design uses a soft, breathable, and lightweight cotton-polyester blend, making it the ideal choice for hot summers, or under jackets for a formal occasion.

Gucci recently unveiled its new eyewear campaign featuring Chinese actress Ni Ni. Shot by photographer Hugo Scott and art directed by Christopher Simmonds, it is inspired by leading Hollywood classics. One sees Ni Ni standing on a desert highway, clad in Gucci pieces, holding cardboards with ‘Outta’ Here’ and ‘Somewhere’ written on them, as cars and lorries drive past. In one shot, she is seen wearing sunglasses featuring an ultra-light, shiny, gold-toned metal frame with a parabolic lens in a solid cherry colour.  The slim temples of the piece have Gucci lettering, with an interlocking G detail on the cut-out end-tips.

Rahul Mishra’s work needs no introduction. Besides being a regular at Paris Fashion Week and the first Indian to bag the prestigious Woolmark Prize in 2014, Mishra now has another entry in his illustrious resume. He is the first Indian to receive Talent De La Rareté by the Centre du luxe et de la création. With an objective of fostering a rich, diverse dialogue and entrepreneurial spirit, since 2001 Centre du luxe et de la création has been bringing leaders from retail, hospitality, management, and design to celebrate path-breaking stories and support ideas, trends, and projects that will nurture the development of luxury as a sphere. “Today when we talk about sustainable luxury, we speak about manufacturing processes that take care of the environment and its people while creating a luxury product. It’s an enriching journey that is fueled by the ideology of giving back. The sequence of creating mindfully evidently benefits the bigger picture, but along the way, it creates avenues for participation and fulfillment in copious ways,” says Mishra.

It was while studying fashion journalism at London College of Fashion that Anupam developed a keen interest in the anthropological aspect of the discipline; for him, fashion only makes sense when seen in the context of its environment. He is always on the hunt for great stories, and in his spare time binge-watches films/shows starring Whoopi Goldberg, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
