Bulgari’s most recognisable timepiece is the Serpenti, also one of modern watchmaking’s most coveted timepieces. Personifying the brand’s most iconic serpent motif, one which has found expression across their jewellery, bags, and even perfumes, the Serpenti’s history can be traced back to the 1940s when it first made an appearance in bracelets. Over the decades, there have been plenty iterations and improvisations, with the latest one being the Serpenti Seduttori watch, where the iconic roll bracelet has been replaced with a snake scale-inspired strap. Having debuted at Baselworld 2019, the Bulgari Serpenti Seduttori collection of nine variants is now officially available at Time Avenue Boutique in Bandra, Mumbai.
The quartz Seduttori is cased in various metals, starting from stainless steel, going up to 18K Yellow Gold and 18K Rose Gold; 3 versions boast 38 brilliant-cut diamonds on their bezel. As the case retains its traditional serpentine silhouette, the dial is crafted out of 18K White Gold.
Turn to its crown and you’ll either find a cabochon-cut pink rubellite, ruby, or sapphire, each corresponding to the make of its case. The apex pieces in this collection are the full pave variants, studded with 50 round brilliant-cut diamonds on their bezels and 166 round brilliant-cut diamonds on their dials, adding to the allure of this watchmaking novelty.
To point out, the drop-shaped watch case is the thinnest a Serpenti has ever had, and its over-the-top diamond treatment is a nod to Bulgari’s DNA as a Roman jeweller. But the newest aspect of this Serpenti is the bracelet strap. Evoking the aesthetic of the serpent further, the lugs of the bracelet prominently appear as snake scale motifs.
The Bulgari Serpenti Seduttori will now be available at the Time Avenue boutique in Bandra Mumbai. For models without any diamond treatment, pricing begins at Rs 2.2 lakhs.
