Smitten by the Raging Bull: 6 Indian celebrities who own exotic Lamborghinis

When it comes to rags-to-riches narratives, ever noticed that the protagonist’s first big splurge is always one of two novelties: An exquisite timepiece or an exotic sportscar. And when we think ‘sportscar’, there’s one brand name that’s almost synonymous with that entire genre itself – Lamborghini.

Little that you know, half a century ago, the Raging Bull of Italy was actually responsible for birthing the supercar culture that the world obsesses about today. They accomplished this with the 1966 Miura and the 1974 Countach, the world’s first ‘supercars’. Ever since, owning a Lamborghini has always been recognized as an expression of success and exotic taste. Which is why, through the years we’ve spotted Lambos in garages of the super-rich, famous and stylish. On that note, it’s safe to say that a few Indian celebrities too, be it Bollywood stars, cricketers or rappers have similar taste when it comes to sportscars.

Today, we’re taking a look at six Indian celebrities who power-glide in exotic Lamborghinis.

Indian celebrities who own Lamborghini cars: Kartik Aaryan, Hardik Pandya, Ranveer Singh

Kartik Aaryan – Lamborghini Urus

Perhaps the newest car on this list or the most recent. Kartik Aaryan’s Urus, it’s designed to bring that same ol’ grunge of a Lambo but to larger dimensions. The same power-cruising experience and Italian suave, just more space. Under the hood, rests a 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine. The motor pumps out 641-bihorsepower and 850-Nm of peak torque. This comes paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. The Urus can leap from 0 to 62-mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190-mph. On the outside, Kartik Aaryan opted for an all-black paint job.

In terms of price, the Urus costs Rs 3.1 crore onwards.

Mallika Sherawat – Lamborghini Aventador SV

Mallika Sherawat

For those of you who don’t know, Sherawat is the only Bollywood diva who owns a Lambo, purchased or gifted. We’ve all known the actress for being an icon during 2000s era of film and its no doubt that she had quite a successful run. A couple of years ago, she took to Twitter saying that she’s been gifted a matte-black/gray Aventador SV. Under the hood, this Raging Bull of Italy boasts a 6.5-litre V12 that churns out 720-horsepower and 509-lb-ft of torque.

Priced at Rs 5.1 crore onwards.

John Abraham – Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2

John Abraham

If you’ve watched Abraham’s films, you’ll notice one thing: He loves speed. The Hayabusa GSX1000R and the Ducati Panigale V4 in his garage can testify to that. When it comes to the four-wheeler department though, he goes Italian with a ground-rumbling Gallardo. We haven’t seen him take out his whip in a while but when he does, it’s capable of producing 560-horsepower with a max torque of 540-Nm @6500-rpm with its 5.10litre V10. And yes, he went for a black paintjob with an orange interior to contrast that.

The car is currently discontinued but came with a starting price of Rs 2.1 crore.

Hardik Pandya – Lamborghini Huracan

Being one of India’s most decorated sportsmen, Hardik Pandya is a real force to be reckoned with in international cricket today. Over the last couple of years, he’s made headlines for some heavy-duty luxury purchases, one of which was a Huracan Evo. Launched in 2019 in India and a true marque of Italian luxury and sport, the car produces 632-horsepower with its 5.2-litre V10 and can max out at 202-mph.

The Lamborghini Huracan is priced at Rs 3.22 crore onwards in India.

Ranveer Singh – Lamborghini Urus

Ranveer Singh is undoubtedly the king of quirk when it comes to style and there’s truly no other that can match his flair. While he effortlessly does this with fashion, he’s no slouch when it comes to making a statement with luxury cars. He and wifey Deepika cruise in a red-hot Jumbo Urus. The car packs a hefty 4.4-litre turbocharged V8 engine that pumps out 641-bihorsepower and 850-Nm of peak torque. This comes paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. The Urus can leap from 0 to 62-mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190-mph.

Priced at Rs 3.1 crore onwards.

Guru Randhawa – Lamborghini Gallardo

Guru Randhawa

We’ve noticed that rappers across the world talk about very selective subjects: Money, watches, exotic women, private jets and well, their luxury cars. Well, Indian rapper Guru Randhawa is no different. Just a couple of years ago he posted a picture of hot new orange Gallarado. Reports suggest that the supercar currently flexes a tiffany blue paint-job and has been switched from orange and black. Powering this mean machine is a 5.2-litre V10 that churns out 560-horsepower with a max torque of 540-Nm @6500-rpm.

The model is currently discontinued but had a price tag of Rs 2.1 crore onwards.
