Here’s what went down at the TUMI x Chris Pratt VIP party in Hong Kong

Who doesn’t want a piece of ‘Avengers’ star Chris Pratt these days? Hong Kong residents were particularly lucky because the star graced the VIP party hosted at the TUMI Loft pop-up store by the international brand recently. The face of TUMI’s latest campaign for Asia Pacific and Middle East, Pratt was joined by 500 guests through the evening at Pacific Place.

Welcomed to the stage by Hong Kong television actress Linda Chung, the Marvel star revealed that this was his first trip to Hong Kong, and he really enjoyed his time in the beautiful city amongst friendly people.

Also joining the crowd of VIPs were local celebrities and public figures such as Zijun Mao, Qi Qi, Rosemary Vandenbroucke, Antonia Da Cruz, Alan Wan, Evelyn Choi, and more, who all gathered to witness the launch of Pratt’s campaign for TUMI (which included a humorous short film (below) documenting his preparations for his trip to Hong Kong). There was also the opportunity to take fun taking virtual selfies and videos with the actor’s lifelike avatar using the new TUMI Club phone app. Not just that, one could also scan Pratt’s poster at the Loft and launch his avatar animation to explore the TUMI Alpha 3 products in 3D.

Open from now through May 6, the TUMI Loft is designed to capture the industrial yet cosmopolitan essence of the brand’s New York roots, featuring different specialised areas. So if you are in Hong Kong anytime soon, swing by the cool pop-up, which includes a Product Discovery Station, where interactive touch screens display product information and lifestyle imagery; Quality & Testing Station that details the 30 testing procedures each product passes; and Textile Innovation Library which gives an inside peek into TUMI’s hero properties and lets you know the fabrics by touching the tactile swatches on wall. All these help explore and better understand the brand’s innovative spirit, creativity, and heritage.

Visitors at the pop-up will also be able to enjoy personalisation services such as monogramming at the Personalisation Bar, decorate their complimentary gifts at the DIY Painting Experience Zone, or participate in Art Jamming Workshops upon purchase, where an onsite artist will guide you through personalisation and decoration of products.
