With the idea of luxury constantly evolving, there’s no dearth of grandeur in travel today. And in recent years, there’s been a race of sorts when it comes to private jet journeys. With hotels offering their own aircrafts and going the extra (high) mile, you’re guaranteed a personalised holiday, privacy, and the luxury of never leaving the ‘hotel’ yet sightseeing. So if ultra-luxe indulgence is on your mind, check out the top three private jet tours by hotels.
Aman Private Jet
The latest in the private jet journey bandwagon, Aman Resorts launched the Aman Private Jet last week. Calling it an airborne extension of the Aman philosophy, their top-of-the-line Bombardier Global 5000 hosts up to 12 people, and has a dedicated concierge available at all times. Your luggage will be at hand, as will products from Aman’s amazing skincare line. Even though the ride has been launched with four set trips – all across Southeast Asia – the best thing is that the journeys aren’t limited to Aman Resorts; you can take the jet to any hotel and destination you wish.

The three standard trips on the Anantara Private Jet Experience begin in Bangkok and guests can travel to Anantara Siam, or Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle, Sri Lanka, or Anantara Kihavah Villas, Maldives. The chain has partnered with MJets, a boutique aviation brand, to enable guests enjoy the private Gulfstream V or Cessna Citation X and curate bespoke holidays. If you have your sights set on some other destination, the experience can be customised – from what you eat to what you do and where, and timelines – for any of the 39 destinations where Anantara exists. The tour can take from 8 (Cessna) up to 19 (Gulfstream) passengers. The former has one cabin crew for all your needs and the latter has two. While the Cessna has fully reclining seats and entertainment systems, the Gulfstream has that plus showers.
Prices start at US$19,745 per person; more information and bookings available here
Four Seasons Private Jet Experience
The first hotel in the game, Four Seasons introduced its jet back in 2015. One crew member to each passenger, their refurbished Boeing 757 (which was originally made for 233 passengers), takes up to 52 persons for a journey. If you’re looking for a more intimate experience, you can opt for their customisable packages with Netjets. A travel planner that takes care of everything from visa to packing, a journey includes a 24×7 concierge, a separate dedicated concierge for luggage, journey physician, and executive chefs. Blankets made of Mongolian cashmere, handcrafted Italian leather seats, and carpets from Amsterdam – there’s luxury in each inch of this jet. They’ve got three upcoming voyages – World of Adventures takes you across eight countries; International Intrigue spans four continents; and Timeless Encounters covers gems from the Pacific to Asia to Middle-East—each for 24 days. If you want to plan ahead, know more about their 2021 journeys here.
