While inspiring Women’s Day messages abound all around us, we wanted to give you a lighthearted take on the day.  To the issues of equal opportunity and rights, being able to control the narrative surrounding women’s issues, equal pay, safety, feminism etc, we wanted to infuse some humour. So, we took the most stereotypical situations that women face on a daily basis, and presented them to four popular women standup comedians in India, and asked them to give us their take — how they would react to these, and by extension, how they feel women should react to them.

Kaneez Surka, Prashati Singh, Niveditha Prakasam, and Supriya Joshi, all have their distinct brand of humour — the four are even starring in ‘Ladies Up’, a standup show that premieres on Netflix India on March 27 — and it all converges in this video. Opening up about marriage, gaming, feminism, trolling, cat-calls, ‘Netflix and Chilling’, and more, the video, with their repartee, banter, and a bit of improv, sheds an easy light on subjects that most women will relate to easily. Only this time, there’s a whole lot of fun and laughter packed in.

Take a look at what these four women standup comedians India in India had to say.
