Thailand is fast becoming a very popular destination for Indian weddings. Anushka and Vivek got married at the Royal Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa in Thailand at a stunning beach wedding with so many fun, multiple ceremonies and parties which were vibrant and unique – right from the card-themed party to the beach mandap wedding overlooking the sunset. Anushka and Vivek were college friends turned best friends and soon they were courting each other and they got engaged in 2018. Their beach wedding is insta-worthy and their beach wedding was an instant hit. Each picture was a testament to their love and the love they were surrounded with when it came to their families. A real Indian wedding of Anushka and Vivek in Thailand with a picturesque view to boot.
“Anushka and Vivek’s wedding was a unique destination wedding, we had loads of fun shooting these two. There were many unconventional moments and we loved those raw emotions against a magnificent backdrop. Hands down this wedding was the dreamiest wedding we’ve shot – when Anushka showed up in a boat with dry ice around – that was stunning and surreal. The entire wedding by the sea shore with the sunset offering an ideal backdrop was beyond beautiful” says Shrey Bhagat, co-founder of Knotting Bells Wedding Photography.
About the ceremonies
For their grand three-day affair, the families had picked a stunning location – Rayong, Thailand. To kick off the celebrations, guests were welcomed at lunchtime with traditional Thai dancers. The same evening, the first western-style wedding with the bride in white, took place. The decor was beach-themed with seashells, pastel-coloured flowers, upside-down umbrellas laden on the sand and fairy lights illuminating the serene surroundings. The guests were given pastel-themed bracelets and boutonnieres, which they decked up with whilst enjoying the saxophonist, Antonio.
The next day was the rocking pool party followed by an intoxicating mock-tail bar and a rain dance area. At dusk, the two families danced their hearts away at the Sangeet function, a circus-themed soiree uplifted by the melodious singer, Aaryan Tiwari.
Day three had a fun Haldi ceremony with warm colours with both families giving some heartwarming performances.
Then, it was time for the big wedding by the beach – the bride made a stunning entry by the pool and Alap Desai sang the mellifluous tunes, melting everyone’s hearts away while the varmala took place in the middle of the pool. A real Indian wedding in Thailand with oodles of inspiration and a bunch of unique themes is how we would describe this perfect union.
