Real Weddings: London-based Nehal & Samit’s Wedding in Jodhpur is a one-of-a-kind Jodhpur wedding that was inspired heavily by the powerful colours of Bollywood.

Nehal and Samit’s wedding story is a whirlwind of Bollywood ideas put together to create a colourful palette that makes for a stunning visual. And what’s even better? The couples romance was brought to life by the bride herself who is a wedding planner. The decor was an ode of all the 90s Bollywood films and the planner also  curated the first ever ‘Light and Sound Musical Pheras’ for the wedding. Every vidhi of the phera was explained through storytelling and soulful hymns, making it a one-of-a-kind immersive experience. The photography by team WeddingNama was stellar and each beautiful moment was connected to perfection. We got the good people at WeddingNama to share the joy and happiness through the wedding pictures for your viewing pleasure.

The Mehendi

A little bit about the couple:

Nehal and Samit’s love story began in London when they met in college. After a long-distance relationship and a 14-month long courtship, they decided to tie the knot in Jodhpur, in India. During this period, Nehal had launched her own design studio – D’Trove with her sister, Nimisha and planned everything at the wedding to her taste.

The Sangeet

“Since Nehal and Samit’s wedding was the first destination wedding we captured post the lockdown period, the team was obviously very excited. We loved Nehal’s personal involvement in everything, right from welcoming the guests to overlooking the decor and menu despite being the bride and being busy with a 101 things. Her being so organised resulted in us getting the one thing we truly desire the most at a wedding -TIME! Getting ready on time and keeping a slot for portraits, organising interviews and making sure the little things that are important to get beautiful photographs and videos are sorted, those are the things that made this wedding special for us. Shooting with masks is a difficult process, not just because it is uncomfortable but mainly because it is difficult to understand expressions behind the mask. Both families were wonderful and very kind. Nehal and Samit had a blast at their wedding so automatically we got amazing stories to capture, “explained Ankita Asthana, Co Founder, WeddingNama.
