Typical red has been a fixture in Indian bridal vocabulary; throw in a bit of gold and you get yourself a perfect look. With couture week just being concluded, we saw some of the biggest names coming together and creating bridal couture. From Shantanu Nikhil’s red lehengas with beautiful floral embroideries to Anju Modi’s exquisite take on handlooms, millennial brides have a lot to choose from.
For those on a lookout for something more traditional, JJ Valaya’s take on Ottoman embroideries and colour scheme came via a range of beautiful red lehengas with belted dupattas. Bollywood’s leading couturiers Falguni and Shane Peacock once again rolled out their take on traditional embroideries inspired from Rajasthan. Delhi-based Reynu Taandon brought out her army of models clad in striking red lehengas with infusions of gold.
