The Dyson Corrale sets a new standard for all hair straighteners

First, Dyson gave traditional hair dryers a run for their money – now, it’s doing the same for hair straighteners with the new Dyson Corrale.

The past decade or so has seen the rise of Dyson as one of the dominant forces in beauty and grooming technology. Its latest product for 2020 is the Dyson Corrale, a cordless hair straightener that uses patented flexing plates. While hair straighteners aren’t a new invention, what this new tool offers will make you sit up and take notice. The brand’s constant pursuit of improving everyday technology is what gives it the edge over its competitors. The Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer, as well as the Dyson Airwrap styler, is proof of its place as the go-to beauty and grooming tech brand in the world.

Right now, the Corrale is the only hair straightener in the world that uses flexing plates to shape and gather hair. Because of the patented micro-hinged plate technology, it applies even heating and tension to all hair strands in every pass. This keeps the hair perfectly aligned while reducing the reliance on heat – there will be no singeing of hair or setting off any smoke alarms.

There are three precise heating settings — 165°, 185°, and 210° — on the Corrale with its Intelligent Heat Control feature. These preset options allow you to choose a precise temperature based on your hair type and desired style. Now, you can style your hair at lower temperatures without compromising on the result. The styling tool comes with a four-cell lithium-ion battery, enabling its cordless design. In case you’re afraid of packing it into your check-in luggage on flights, the device has a flight mode option.

It joins a growing list of state-of-the-art everyday technology.

The Corrale provides up to 30 minutes of cord-free styling while taking only 70 minutes to fully recharge. Similar to its vacuum sibling, to charge it, simply place into the ergonomic charging dock at regular intervals or attaching the magnetic charging cable.

While there is no confirmed date of release in Malaysia, the Dyson Corrale will be priced at RM2,199.
